JOE FINE

Joe Fine grew up in Cullman County and attended public schools in Hanceville. After graduating from the University of Alabama, he received his LLB from the University of Alabama School of Law. Fine maintained an active law practice in Russellville, Alabama for 33 years.
Joe Fine was elected to the Alabama State Senate in 1970 and served two terms. During his second term, he served as President Pro Tem. While in the Senate, Fine was named by the Alabama Press Association as the Most Outstanding Freshman and the Most Effective Member of the Alabama State Senate and received numerous other awards and honors during his tenure.
Joe Fine has previously served as District Attorney for Franklin County and Assistant Insurance Commissioner for the State of Alabama.
He has served on the Board of Trustees at the University of Alabama and now serves as Trustee Emeritus.
